As we quickly approach fourth quarter, we have seen some modest, yet positive signs of economic improvement and we remain cautiously optimistic for a normalized end to the year. We are beginning to see that destocking is largely complete and reports show inventories have returned to pre-COVID levels on an inflation adjusted basis. However, as a carrier ourselves, we understand the unique barriers you might be facing as we all weather the effects of a challenging economic stretch. We are constantly evaluating how we can better serve you and want to keep you informed about the solutions we offer to make your life easier. These quarterly newsletters are meant to provide you with relevant updates tailored just for our valued carriers.
To combat economic challenges and rising fuel prices, we are here to help you save more money through our Carrier Fuel Discount Program. You can learn more about how our alliance carriers have saved more than $283,000 and how to take advantage of this cost savings program here.
We also have more exciting updates to share surrounding our new digital freight platform, Werner Bridge. A moment of gratitude
Last week, we held our annual Carrier Connections event where we recognized our top alliance carriers, held valuable discussions, and heard an update on the transportation and logistics industry from some amazing speakers. With a record number of attendees this year, Carrier Connections continues to grow, and we are grateful for this opportunity to spend time with this group and recognize them for all they do. A special congratulations to our 2023 award winners and thank you to all the carriers that attended the event!
