Paying for Your Education
One of the biggest benefits of working with Werner is taking advantage of our Career Currency program. This benefit is available to the Werner driver, their spouse and/or dependent. It provides tuition help to drivers and supports the education of their families. We’ve teamed up with the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) to offer this benefit. This is very different from most other truck driver jobs, which typically offer tuition reimbursement. That’s because we provide upfront funding for college expenses, meaning you don’t have to get reimbursed by the company.
With Career Currency, you can support a child who enrolls at UNO’s 200 undergraduate and graduate school programs. You’ll get up to $2,500 per calendar year — that’s around 12 credit hours —on top of discounted tuition fees and waived administrative and registration-based fees. We’ll pay UNO directly, which simplifies the process.
