The Werner Logistics Carrier Rewards program allows carriers that meet a certain threshold each quarter to earn and gain access to rewards. Q: What types of perks does Werner’s carrier program have to offer? A: Our carrier rewards program offers qualifying carriers fuel savings at over 18,000 locations, free quick pay and opportunities to lease or purchase equipment from Werner’s Fleet Truck Sales.
Q: Why should I take advantage of the free quick pay? A: With our rewards program, Platinum and Gold carriers qualify for free quick pay and can avoid the 1.5% service fee that is typically deducted from the total invoice. By utilizing outside factoring sources, carriers may be paying fees as high as 5%. Carriers that take advantage of our free quick pay option could save as much as $120 per load or $7,500 a year per truck (based on 3% factoring rate on a $4,000 load).
Q: Tell me more about the truck purchase and truck lease programs? A: As an asset-based 3PL, Werner has a variety of equipment offerings that may interest carriers. Werner Fleet Sales has top-notch, late-model, low-mileage used Freightliners, Cascadias, Kenworth T680s and Peterbilt 579s. Through our carrier rewards program, Werner Fleet Sales offers a one-time discount on a used tractor purchase for all Platinum and Gold level carriers. These carriers are also invited to take advantage of Werner’s Tractor Lease Program.
Q: How can I earn these rewards? A: These rewards are determined by a carrier scorecard system, based on the capacity you are providing for brokerage, power only, intermodal or final mile. The score is calculated from the following criteria:
- Volume
- On time delivery
- Tracking compliance
- Lane diversity (lane count)
- Electronic booking (Loads accepted via Werner EDGE load board or routing guide)
Q: What other perks do you offer carriers? A: For carriers that utilize our load board, Werner EDGE for Carriers, we reward them each month with a VISA gift card. We’ll monitor the number of loads booked and delivered from our load board each month and reward you the following month.
