“You’re going to see people at Werner who have a strong work ethic, are detailed oriented and have a high level of integrity. When someone tells you they’re going to do something, you know they’re going to do everything in their power to accomplish the mission. There is a strong team presence here and while this business can be challenging at times, the morale is always high because we believe in the mission and each other. If you work hard and do the right thing, you will be successful at Werner.”
“Before retiring from the United States Army, I knew that the trucking industry would be my next career choice. When I was issued my first set of keys to my own truck at Werner, I knew that I had the basic skills and mindset to become successful as a professional driver. I later earned my professional driver certificate from the Department of Labor, thanks to Werner’s apprenticeship program. Werner didn’t just offer me a job, they paved the way to a second career.”
“When I transitioned from the military, I chose to work at Werner Enterprises because of their established reputation for professionalism throughout the Department of Transportation. Werner’s training program is second to none. The company has shown me that they take care of their veterans, as well as those transitioning from the government sector. I was proud to receive my professional driver certificate from the Department of Labor thanks to Werner’s apprenticeship program. Werner is ‘Service excellence for the long haul!’”

USERRA
The Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) of 1994 prohibits employers from discriminating against any employee or prospective employee because of past, present or future application for, or membership in, a uniformed service.
USERRA is intended to minimize the disadvantages to an individual that occur when the person needs to be absent from his or her civilian employment to serve in this country’s uniformed services and also to provide retention of reemployment rights.
