Werner Enterprises Acquires Baylor Trucking, Inc.

Oct 3, 2022 | Driver Portal

We are excited to announce Werner has closed on the acquisition of Baylor Trucking, Inc.  An award-winning and premier truckload carrier located in Milan, Indiana, Baylor Trucking operates 200 trucks and 980 trailers in the east central and south central U.S., with their network of two terminals.

Baylor Trucking was founded in 1946 by Chester Baylor, the grandfather of Baylor Trucking’s President, Cari Baylor, who has led the company for the last seven years. Existing leadership, drivers and non-driver associates will remain in place and operate as a stand-alone business unit within Werner. Baylor Trucking will retain their brand.

This acquisition delivers on our Werner DRIVE strategy and will position us for further growth. Both companies embrace a culture intensely focused on safety and superior customer service.

Please join us in welcoming Baylor Trucking and their associates to the Werner family! To the Baylor and Werner teams, THANK YOU for being part of our “best in class” truckload transportation and logistics company and we look forward to keeping America moving.
