Educational Opportunities
- Career Currency is an educational assistance program to encourage growth and development of associates’ skills, abilities and knowledge. It assists associates in obtaining academic training on a vocational and college level. Werner will pay up to $2,500 per calendar year (approximately 12 credit hours) for eligible associates who register for courses at the University of Nebraska at Omaha and satisfy policy requirements.
- Associate Tuition Reimbursement: Eligible participants may receive assistance through the program each calendar year (excluding books and fees). Associates will receive 85 percent reimbursement of up to $2,500 of eligible tuition costs. The maximum reimbursement amount per calendar year is $2,125.
- Introduced in August 2013, this truck driver tuition reimburses military members, veterans, military/veteran spouses and military/veteran dependents who use VA educational benefits to pay for truck driving school as recent-graduate truck drivers.
