Our diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives have four main goals:

Empowers and promotes the advancement of Werner Latino Associates through networking, career development, education, and community service.

How we are doing it!

Diversity Council

The IDEAL (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accountability, and Learning) Council is committed to promoting diversity, inclusion, and cultural competence at Werner. These associates, who reflect a broad spectrum of diversity, have pledged to help enhance awareness of diversity concerns, raise issues to the attention of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team, and provide advice and guidance.

Associate Resource Groups

Our Associate Resource Groups (ARGs) support our commitment to promoting and maintaining an inclusive culture for all associates by bringing together individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. These groups seek to foster a sense of shared community and empowerment for associates and allies who share and support a common social identity, such as gender, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. All Werner associates interested can join any ARG to network, discuss and exchange ideas and enhance their professional development.

In the Community

Werner’s Blue Brigade is a team of compassionate and committed associates who volunteer their time and talent to serve the community. The Blue Brigade works with numerous organizations throughout the country each year, donating their personal time to help those in need.

With Our Suppliers

We actively seek and encourage qualified minority- and women-owned suppliers from all segments of the business community to participate in our corporate procurement process. We recognize the value that this program brings to our organization and our associates.
