We commit to embracing these values as we move toward an increasingly inclusive culture where every associate feels empowered to bring their whole self to Werner.

Werner Enterprises takes tremendous pride in creating a culture that reinforces diversity, equity and inclusion. Associates are invited to join one or more Associate Resource Groups, or ARGs, to strengthen their sense of belonging and create meaningful connections within the Werner community.

Our diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives have four main goals:

Associate Resource Groups

Our Associate Resource Groups (ARGs) support our commitment to promoting and maintaining an inclusive culture for all associates by bringing together individuals from a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. These groups seek to foster a sense of shared community and empowerment for associates and allies who share and support a common social identity, such as gender, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. All Werner associates interested can join any ARG to network, discuss and exchange ideas and enhance their professional development.

Sociedad Werner

Empowers and promotes the advancement of Werner Latino Associates through networking, career development, education, and community service.



Aims to help Black Associates through advancement, networking, professional development, mentoring and leadership opportunities.



Strives to raise awareness, shares resources, and provide support for Asian and Middle Eastern cultural and career experiences at Werner.


WLA (Women’s Leadership Alliance)

Provides a space for women to address workplace and career-related challenges and strategies for overcoming these obstacles.


Blue Brigade

Provides associates a way to get involved with goodwill volunteer opportunities from local and national organizations.



Generates awareness and resources for all associates to help create a culture of acceptance and understanding for employees with visible and non-visible disabilities.



Provides an inclusive community of support for religious and spiritual cultures and builds connections over beliefs with respect and understanding.



Provides a foundation for Young Emerging Leaders with opportunities to engage, enhance, and guide the greater organization forward.



Aims to help veterans capitalize on networking opportunities, develop in their careers, easily access resources, and serve our communities.



Builds community among LGBTQ+ associates and works with senior management to develop policies and practices positively impacting the LGBTQ+ workforce at Werner Enterprises.



Amplifies the voices of our working parents and caregivers while fostering community and driving positive change for our associates.
