Customer Service Week: Getting to the Heart of Werner

In 1992, the U.S. Congress declared the first week of October as “National Customer Service Week” to celebrate the amazing people who serve and support customers day in and day out. Last week, we celebrated National Customer Service Week, and we want to take a moment to reflect on the value and importance Werner places on providing unparalleled customer service.

At Werner, customer service is at the heart of what we do. We are passionate about providing personal service and empowering our customers. Our strength in transportation and logistics, and our commitment to keeping our promises to customers, set us apart.

One of the reasons for Werner’s success is our commitment to relationships for the long haul, starting from best-in-class service and working directly with our customers to provide innovative solutions for their supply chains. Our drivers provide quality, timely and safe service to our customers. Similarly, our associates work with shippers and carriers to provide service that elevates those companies’ businesses.

2017-2021 Quest for Quality from Logistics Management – The Quest for Quality Award is the most significant measure of customer satisfaction and performance excellence in the logistics and transportation industry. Werner received the Quest for Quality Award in multiple categories – truckload-dry freight carrier and 3PL transportation management solutions.

2017-2021 Top 3PL & Cold Storage Provider from Food Logistics – To be selected, companies must show they are committed to improving their expertise and keeping up with the latest temperature monitoring technologies, transportation management systems and warehouse management systems.

2017-2021 Top 10 3PL Provider from Inbound Logistics – Each year, thousands of industry professionals complete the magazine’s annual Excellence Survey, voting for the Top 10 third-party logistics providers (3pls) that provide attentiveness, reliability, flexibility and execution ability for their customers. Werner is honored that our customers, carriers and industry partners have nominated us as a top 10 provider for five consecutive years.

2017-2021 Top 100 Trucker from Inbound Logistics – The Top 100 Truckers list is a resource guide that provides an in-depth index of carriers that match shippers’ diverse needs. Each year, Inbound Logistics selects the leading transportation providers after evaluating credentials, conducting personal interviews and completing online research.

Last week marked a celebration of our customer service team and highlighted several of their successes, though by no means all of them. It was also a time for us to note our continued emphasis on quality customer service that goes above and beyond our client expectations.
