Road Team

The Werner Enterprises Road Team was developed to benefit many areas of the Company. The concept centers on communication, professionalism, pride, and falls within our mission to be the premier provider of transportation services. With ongoing communication and feedback we can improve our concept of a team environment between the Customer, Driver, and the Office.

The Road Team Captains work to improve communication processes between the office, fleet, and the customer. They help identify operational improvements through ongoing driver feedback as well as improve the quality of freight management and enhance on-time service levels. The Captains work on process improvements to identify areas of opportunity within various divisions and departments for internal and external improvement needs.

    Shelia Wagner

    Shelia Wagner is a driver in the 48 state Van Network and has been a trainer for three and a half years. She has been awarded the Logs Award and also has numerous safe driving awards. Shelia has been with Werner Enterprises since October 2006.

    Steve Snyder

    Steve Snyder is a driver in the 48 state Van Network and has been a trainer for a little over a year. He was awarded Driver of the Month for Target Dedicated and is a Million Mile Club member. Steve has been with Werner Enterprises his entire driving career, which began in February 2003.

    Al Arnold

    Al Arnold is a driver on the Owl Wire Dedicated account. He has numerous Log Compliance and Safe Driver awards and took part in the Special Olympics convoy in 2008 and 2010. He has also competed in the Werner Roadeo with a second place finish and has participated in the Nebraska State Driving Championships twice. Al has been with Werner Enterprises since February 2007.

    Tom Pietrzak

    Tom Pietrzak is a driver on the Walmart Temperature Controlled account and as been a trainer for 12 years. He placed first in the Nebraska State Driving Championship in 2010 and had a third place finish at the National Driving Championships. Tom has been driving for Werner Enterprises since September 1998.

    Paul Faines is a driver and trainer for the I-80 Network. He is a Million Mile Club member and has been awarded Driver of the Month multiple times. Paul has been with Werner Enterprises since April 1995.

    Ray Campbell is a driver in the 48 state Van Network. He is a Million Mile Club member and was awarded with the 10 Year Service Award. Ray has 21 years of truck driving experience and has been with Werner Enterprises since February 1997.

    Lawrence Yeargain

    Lawrence Yeargin is a driver on the JC Penny Dedicated account. He is a Million Mile Club member and was awarded with the Five Year Service Award. Lawrence has 30 years of truck driving experience and has been with Werner Enterprises since April 2003.

    Richard Mayo

    Richard Mayo is an Owner Operator and a trainer for team drivers east of the Mississippi River. He is a Million Mile Club member, was awarded Trainer of the Month in 1996 and has earned safe driving awards every year since 1993. In addition, he has participated in a number of special opportunities, including being a relief driver for 9/11 and hauling tropical fish from the Dallas-Ft. Worth Zoo to the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha, Neb. Richard has been with Werner Enterprises since July 1993.

    John Robinson is a driver on the AGC Glass Dedicated account. He has been awarded with the safe driving award and was previously a Werner Road Team member from 2009-2010. John has 24 years of truck driving experience and has been with Werner Enterprises since December 2003.

    Tim Dean is a driver in the Van Network. He is a 2 Million Mile Club member, has 21 years of safe driving awards and was an America's Road Team Captain from 2009-2010. In addition, he participated in the Nebraska State Driving Championship in 2009 and 2010 and was awarded Class Champion. Tim was a member of the Werner Road Team from 2009-2010 and has been with Werner Enterprises since August 1988.

    JW Ray is a driver on the ConAgra Dedicated account. He is a Million Mile Club member and is currently an America's Road Team Captain. He also has 14 years of safe driving awards, participated in five Werner Roadeos and was a member of the 2009-2010 Werner Road Team. JW has been with Werner Enterprises since November 1994.

    John Lorraine is a driver on the Anheuser Busch Dedicated account. He is a Million Mile Club member and was a 2009-2010 Werner Road Team member. In addition, he has numerous awards including the safe driver, on-time delivery, no cargo damage and log compliance awards. John has been with Werner Enterprises since April 2003.
